I started to type almost the same thing last night, but you said it so well it saved me the trouble. Good job. Hunter I can't believe some of these partisan bullies just don't want to see any cases of how medicaid does not work for all low income people. They only see it as an unnecessary hand-out that they refuse to support - damn the retired and now handicapped . The less fortunate evidently don't deserve to live outside of a nursing home. These bullies were more fortunate in their lives and evidently believe that other souls deserve to just die so these bullies of our medical system don't have to help the poor pay for their care or help them in any manner. The prime examples are right here in Little RORT City - It's an excellent barometer of extreme BS. LK ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ LK, you need to understand something. I have no way of knowing if your good friends fall into this category. But there are and will always be people out there that will NEVER be happy with any system you or our wonderful Gummint dream up and put into place. And those people will just never take the right steps to get themselves taken care of the way you and I might want them to be. Some people, maybe you, call it falling through the cracks, when it's really just a case of these people never following through and making sure they WILL get taken care of. People with no car insurance and an expired drivers license fall into this category. They are ultra high maintenance. It's like they need there own personal Ombudsman leading them around by the hand. It is very unfortunate that there are people in that category. But I don't have the time or the inclination to hold their hand because I have a HUGE family and Charity Begins At Home. My plate is full and my resources dwindle. Those in that category need to stiffen their backs and get the hell off the sofa. I care, but I can't do anything about people that won't help themselves. Gee.....ain't I a nasty fellow. I think I might know where you can rent a violin. 8^) Jan

You, on the other hand, are simply a caring person who never exploits anyone and who offers options for those people I have discussed with their particular situation. Therefore, I'm certain that once you read the entire discussion, you will come up with an alternative method of helping those people. I use my heart to help people. LK I have absolutely no problem with you using your heart to help people - in fact I encourage it. My _object_ion comes when you want to use MY money to help people - that choice should be mine, not yours. Bruce

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hey Frank, it's maybe some sort of ObamaSpeak BaffleGab. Or kinda like talking to the walls? Here....maybe this tune will help:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGOfTJTYkWs Jan Your bullying tactics don't change the facts of what people need. You are making fun of handicapped people. LK ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Let me make this clear to you, LK. The message is meant for YOU. Not the people that didn't have the foresight. I am making fun of you. Where the hell did I say anything about anybody other then YOU and Frank? Geeesh.....get a thicker skin and a sense of humor. Don't you like that neat old song? Jan Can't laugh at the pain of others and flagrance of that fact from pointless argument in a serious attempt to help others. These people are not *good friends*, but people in need. I do not associate with them except by the fact that I met them when I worked in an RV park where they reside. Do you believe you have to laugh or cry? I don't waste my time laughing or crying about people's terrible situations, I try to help. If they wish to laugh, I will laugh with them.......if they cry, I comfort them. My plate is never too full for anyone who needs help. Damn I wish I'd win the lottery, I already know where it's going to help others........and if I get taken for a ride by any of them......then I'll have a good time trying to help and my soul will be smiling free when I die. LK
When you believe that something is not broken when it is, in fact, broken - then it needs to be fixed. However, since the price of repairing everything has risen due in part to your previous support, you will not support the higher cost because it does not include helping yourself. That pretty much outlines your beliefs, right, Bruce?
wrote: I admit I'm puzzled as to why you can't get coverage in every state. I think I can do that if history is any indication at all. Probably because it's a Fed program. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You are definately confused, LK. Let me explain. Now please pay attention. Once I have insurance coverage with a company I am covered regardless of where I am if something bad happens such as a heart attack. I could have insurance with a California Insurer and if I am on a trip to Branson and have a heart attack while watching a show there I don't have to gey on a plane for California to get treatment! ::: igh:::: That's not the problem. The problem is NOT being able to SHOP for insurance over state lines. Let's say I live in Arizona and I have chices of companies A, B and C to get coverage from. But if I would like to get competitive quotes on insurance from companies D, E and F over in Las Vegas Nevada I can't get those quotes that may be lower because they are not approved to sell policies to somone in Phoenix, AZ. THAT is a problem that is keeping the competition from driving the prices lower. You may have a literature from Medicare as example that will tell you who you are allowed to get prices on Medicare Supplemental Insurance from the county and state you live in. You may prefer to do business with Company X because of what they offer and at a better price but you would have to move to Portland say. You and I might wanna say that, The Fix Is In with this crap. And we would perhaps be VERY correct. Ask your Congress Critter to fix THAT and let us know what the answer is. Why not let any company that wants to write coverage anywhere write anywhere? Or any person that wants to get quotes in other states do so? It ain't rocket science. It's a free economy that needs a chance to work. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ And I agree that no alien should have free anything - even as they do now. Course, I've never liked that a foreigner can waltz into our country on vacation and buy a condo even. Ticks me right off that you don't have to even be a Permanent Resident, much less a Citizen in our country to own a piece of land. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Doesn't take a brain surgeon to well understand that. They are already a tremendous drain on our medical system. Tell your friends that wrote HR 3200 to take those loopholes ou of that frickin' bill. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jan Jesus, Mary and Joseph!!, Jan. You insist on the *elite of the elite* type of employer insurance to address an insurance system that fits in your pocket, alone. What percentage of the population has this extreme penny-ante problem? Got any facts on that? Sheesh! LK ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesus and his parents have nothing to do with this. It's a worldly problem. You obviously are still confused. Meanwhile the rest of America, that has been paying attention, knows that if people and or employers could go across state lines to shop for insurance it would lower costs. Penny ante it ain't. But I won'r hold my breath from you understanding that. Another thing is the Tort Reform. ANY frickin' reform has to include that with teeth. But then we all know that you just want a government run system where there are no private insurance companies and the Medical profession is just a bunch of drones. Then you will get to have stuff like this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1207151/Woman-gives-birth-pav... And this gem: Thousands of surgeries may be cut in Metro Vancouver http://www.vancouversun.com/story_print.html?id=1878506&sponsor But there's another question I was going to ask you about your strange dual existance of being Canadian and USA. I am very aware of Snowbird friends fron Canada that go every year to the Palm Springs Area for the season in the winter. They come down there and they live there for six months. Then, they tell me, they have to go back to Canada because of their residency requirements as Canadian Citizens. I assume there are also a lot of them in places like Arizona and Florida every winter. What do they do if they have a medical problem while down here? Just curious and thought you might know. Jan
