In other words... what is your definition of better healthcare , if it isn't longer, healthier lives for more of the nation's people at less cost ? And of course we come to the crux - which is that once more (by not answering a direct question) you aren't *saying* anything at all about what you believe... you're just spouting paraphrased talking points from stuff you hear and like the sound of.

politics over the past 50 years and see what we might or might not have been stressing about.   (Shit, I can't even believe you said such a thing!) Bowling balls.   Hmmm.   You know, Ben... here is your chance to demostrates your vaunted informational and intellectual competence (I do notice you've never claimed superiority in either sense and my hat's off to you for refraining):  I know nothing whatsoever about bowling, about bowling balls or about any differnces or similarities there might be between Canada and the USA with respect to either of them. I'd actually appreciate some lessons about it all if you've got the time... although I should warn you that it's pretty damned unlikely I'll ever use any of it in - or anywhere near - a bowling alley. If I COULD spout in such manner I would be like you.  <shudder Do it the way I do and *I* might actually learn something from you and *your* sources.   Unlike you (apparently, at least), I don't just dismiss accurate data reliably quoted from known-dependable sources when it doesn't suit my ideologivcal biases.   My biases and ideological views are under constant, *total* re-evaluation as the world changes faster and faster with every passing week, and they have been (conciously at least) since my early teens.

just pulling shit outta the air... what I actually say is my own honest evaluation of that stuff (and many times more of it that's either too lengthy or too peripheral and abstruse to clarify for c/p posting). If I COULD spout in such manner I would be like you.  <shudder Do it the way I do and I might actually learn something from you and your sources.   Unlike you (apparently, at least), I don't just dismiss accurate data reliably quoted from known-dependable sources when it doesn't suit my ideologivcal biases.   My biases and ideological views are under constant, total re-evaluation as the world changes faster and faster with every passing week, and they have been (conciously at least) since my early teens. Michael, I happen to be lazy when it comes to backing up with sources. I would appreciate it if people would think from my response.  I am not as interested in a point by point chalk up score relying on backing up the bullshit. My life is full of I told you so events.  I'm generally quite happy (smug, if you will) just watching events wax. Obama's health-care system looks like it will get as far as HillaryCare did.
