I would start out with small bump hives on both legs and it would join together where my entire legs would be covered. This would happen several times a day. There was a couple of times when I had the break out I had to call ambulance and they would treat me with benadryl thru an IV because my chest would be tight I felt like I could not breathe and this happen several times it is about say 20 min to hospital I would be clear up by the time I would get there and the hospital would release me and did not know what to do for me telling me that there are limited to what they can do for me to get up with a skin doctor I did see the doc but money stopped me from havening more test done. I would take Claritin to clear up the hives if I took the Madison on a regular basses to keep me from having the break out, the Madison would stop working I would still have the hives then I would have to take benadryl to clear it up if I only took the Claritin when I started breaking out it would work but the benadryl would put my head on backwards where I could not do my work and could not think straight this went on for 5 years. Dearing the breakout I would have problem breathing chest getting tight. I did see a doc for my skin and he said I had an infection some where. I did not have the money to have a lot of test done to determine what is going on. me and my dad set down one day where I drank a lot of soft drinks thinking I may have yeast build up in my intestines I took the Sapodillas if it is spell right the (good back Tierra) taking around 5 pills drinking a lot of proton juice so it would keep my stool very soft water so it would go threw my entire system I did that 3 to 4 times waiting a weak each time now my hives are a lot better, it now where it is to small parts of my body like my tow putting presser cause it to start etching and swelling and it is one tow and not any of the other tows I did have a small blister to come up next to the same tow on the bottom of my foot where clear fluid build up and it makes it itch like I did when I had the hives but after the blister bust the itch goes a way as soon as the blister busted. I went to a doctor where he said he see a little fungus where I am treating my foot with a cream to kill it for the next 6 weeks, the place on the bottom of my foot where I had the blister is getting better but now my tow is very easy to start etching when presser is put to it this did not start until my blister on the bottom of my foot healed where there isnt any fluid build up under the skin of the foot three bumps will come up on my leg and as soon as I scratch it will go a way in a few min with out taking any thing now I am 40 years old and I have authorities in a lot of my bones three in my neck I dont know if this is related I still have a problem with having a tight filling in my chest this come and goes and there is times I fill very tired I would like to find the problem and see if there is any thing that I could do to stop the problem all to gather fill free to email me back on a doctor I can see that can help me or if there is any thing I can do home remedy my email address is

This is a digest of messages posted to: Beauty & Body Image.Skin Care: Share Your TipsDry,itchy & Flaky!Initial Message Posted by: mrluvya_2 Date: Aug 18, 2009.I started out with eczema...I still may have it...I used to itch (I used GOLD BOND MEDICATED TRIPLE ACTION Lotion) Now I scratch when I'm stressed. Scratching feels good. I think I've damaged my skin because of scratching because when I wake up in the morning my skin is stiff & white over most of my body. (I'm a BLK male) When I scratch, white flakews fall to the floor to the point where it looks like it's snowing. When I wake up & get out of bed, the sheet is covered from top to bottom with dead skin that looks like small grains of sand. I take a shower but as soon as i'm dry the dry skin is back & you can see it kind of standing up on parts of my skin. I tried everything, Now I just use Vaseline which don't help... Most of the time, at nite, my skin starts to dry to the point where it hurts & itch so much that I take pain pills or pills to make me sleep....The next morning, all this starts all over. I'm about to go out now to by a exfoliating type bath rag Along with a exfoliter & some gloves...Can someone help me?help. my newborn got sunburnhelp. my newborn got sunburnMessage #1: help. my newborn got sunburn Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 18, 2009.Hi there, You may want to try a cool compress on your child to sooth her if she isn't feeling well. Do seek medical attention if necessary as newborns and young children should be protected from the sun. Read more about sunburns by using the WebMD search engine. - Anniei am having problem with hivesi am having problem with hivesMessage #1: i am having problem with hives Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 18, 2009.Hi there, This board does not have a WebMD health professional to answer community members' questions. You may want to start keeping a journal of what you are doing, eating, and wearing to see if you can pinpoint what if anything is triggering hives in your skin. Also try avoiding fragrances and coloring in your skin care products and that includes cleansers to see if that helps. Avoid bar soap that can leave a residue on your skin. Look for laundry detergents that leave ot coloring and fragrances too. Avoid fabric softeners and fabric softener dryer sheets as those can leave a residue on your skin that is activated by body heat. Try using warm not hot water when bathing and washing. Read more about hives by using the WebMD search engine. If you are taking any medications or supplements please click on the Find A Drug _link_ at the top of the board to read about them. Do seek help from a doctor if you aren't getting better! - Annieitchy skinitchy skinMessage #1: itchy skin Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 18, 2009.Hi there, You may want to look at using liquid cleansers in the shower rather than a bar of soap. Look for ones that leave out fragrances and coloring. Cetaphil, Cerave, and Purpose are some product lines to consider and you can find them at the drugstore. Your pharmacist or store staff can help you find those or similar products. Bar soap can leave a residue on the skin. Also look at using laundry detergents that leave out coloring and fragrances as well. Avoid fabric softeners and fabric softener sheets in the dryer as those products can also leave a residue on clothing that can be irritating to your skin when you wear the clothing as your body heat can activate the chemicals that are left on clothing from those fabric softeners. Try also using body and face lotions that leave out coloring and fragrances as well. Read more about sensitive skin by using the WebMD search engine. If you are taking any medications then please click on the Find A Drug _link_ which is at the top of the board to look up your medications to see if any of those have itchiness as a possible side effect. Good luck ad please see a doctor if the itchiness problem cannot be resolved at home! - Annie - Annieitchy skinitchy skinMessage #1: itchy skin Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 18, 2009.Hi there, Are you currently taking or using any medications or supplements? If so please click on the Find A Drug _link_ at the top of the board to look them up to see if itching is one of the potential side effects. Also use the WebMD search engine to look up eczema including the Eczema Health Center. You may want to use body products that leave out coloring and fragrances to see if that helps and take tepid rather then hot water showers or baths to avoid further skin irritation. Use liquid cleansers rather than bar soap as bar soap can leave a residue on the skin. Look for laundry cleansers and detergents that leave out coloring and fragrances and avoid fabric softeners and fabric softener dryer sheets as those can leave residues on clothing which can be irritating. Try journaling what you are doing, wearing, and eating when your skin is itchy to see if you can help pinpoint any triggers. Good luck! - AnnieKeloid aftercareKeloid aftercareMessage #1: Keloid aftercare Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 18, 2009.Hi there, If you are prone to keloids or raised scars please consult with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon for help as any kind of surgery can produce keloid scars again. Read more about keloid scars by using the WebMD search engine. You may also want to look at silicone products in the bandage aisle of the drugstore and see if those are helpful in flattening a keloid scar. Those are liquids in tubes that you apply to scar areas of your face or body. For best results you may have to use these products for 3 months or more to see any results. - AnnieSkin Care: Share Your Tipss evere itching please help!Initial Message Posted by: codysgirl0713 Date: Aug 18, 2009. Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 20, 2009.Hi there, It could be a scab forming. Are you using any alpha hydroxy acids or salicylic acid products on your face? That can thin the outer _layer_ of skin enough that you may want to stop using those products at least a week before waxing. Waxing can also remove a _layer_ of skin along with hair so you may want to shave your upper lip area instead next time or use a sugaring (washable product) instead of a wax which is resin _base_d. Try using a coverup product on your upper lip area and keep your face protected from the sun while it's healing . Good luck! - AnnieBreak OutsBreak OutsMessage #1: Break Outs Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 20, 2009.Hi there, Oily hair care products can definitely clog pores so changing hair care products and using less of them or keeping them off the skin may help clear up skin. But acne is also a hormonal problem and if OTC acne medications aren't helping then please have your child see a doctor for help. We have an Acne Health Center for more help in dealing with acne. - AnnieCandida?Candida?Message #1: Candida? Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Au g 20, 2009.Hi there, Please see a doctor for help if you cannot get acne under control with OTC (over the counter) acne medication. Acne is caused by bacteria and not a fungus or yeast so those anti-fungal medications won't work to clear up acne. Read more about acne by using the WebMD search engine to pull up the Acne Health Center. - AnnieHelp! Spots on legs and Feet!Help! Spots on legs and Feet!Message #1: Help! Spots on legs and Feet! Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 20, 2009.Hi there, Please realize that it's not possible for anyone to be diagnosed over the internet. If you think that you have age spots then those can occur as a result of cumulative sun exposure. Those age spots t hat you see today may have been caused by years of sun exposure from summers past. If you are worried about the spots and they do not go away then please see a doctor for help. You may also want to read more about sun exposure and age spots by using the WebMD search engine. - AnnieSkin Care: Share Your TipsInner Thigh Lumps - Ouch!Initial Message Posted by: sav123 Date: Aug 20, 2009.For the past 4-5 years, I have been periodically getting small (usually dime sized) painful lumps on my inner thighs. It's generally one at a time, and depending on the time of year, I might not get another one for months. I find that they occur more frequently in the summer (when my inner thighs tend to get chaffed), when I'm in the a lot gym, or after I've shaved. They actually look and seem to act just like a pimple. In the beginning, I would try and pop them because I could feel a hard lump underneath my skin. This was immensely painful, but if I could withstand the pain and squeeze hard enough, the lump would release what looked like a small amount of blood and puss (gross and wrong, I know). Afterwords, the lump would immediately become painless, and the swelling would go down in less than a day. If I don't pop them, they come to a head and release pus only. Over the past few years, I've been in the doctor for checkups and have had general blood work done, I've also been tested for STD's. With the exception of finding that I had once had mono, everything has always come back normal. I thought that perhaps these were boils because the de_script_ion is nearly identical, but these lumps are so small in comparison to the pictures I'm seeing on the internet. Other than being pretty tender to the touch and being somewhat unsightly, I have no other issues. The more I read on the internet, the more I become terrified that I have some sort of crazy skin problem or staph infection. I'm currently a student with no insurance and my funds are extraordinarily limited, so I am at a loss as to how seriously I should be taking this condition. I've been living with this with no real problem for the past 4-5 years, but now I'm concerned that I should take this more seriously. Any ideas as to what this may be? Do I need to seek any kind of immediate attention?itchy skinitchy skinMessage #10: itchy skin Posted by: maryjanetk Date: Aug 20, 2009.Have you tried O mega 3-6-9 fatty acids? You can buy themin gel caps in any drug store. They are a bit large so not easy to swallow. They are made for fish oil. All of us are short on Omega 3, so you might want to try just that. I actually use it for my dog and it has done wonders. She weighs 12 lbs. and I give her 2 -1000mg capsules a day (vet recommended). So you could use a much higher amount. Ask your Dr. or a nutritionist. My Mom also suffered from itching. Her skin was dry, especially her legs. At the nursing home they applied vasaline and wrapped her legs with saran wrap at night. this helped a lot. Good luck. Maryjanetkitchy skinMessage #11: itchy skin Posted by: sazareyn Date: Aug 20, 2009.I've found a shower with Dial liquid soap, then using rubbing alcohol really helps itching that's driving you nuts. Then to prevent drying, Jergens lotion. Noxzema also helps a lot.Skin Care: Share Your TipsPainful acne! OUCH!Initial Message Posted by: amikrazy Date: Aug 20, 2009.I've coped with bouts of acne ever since reaching puberty in 8th grade and now I'm 21 and it hasn't gotten better. It doesn't help that I live in hot, humid Houston, Texas. And genetics isn't on my side either, my dad turns 47 in October and he has to take an antibiotic for his breakouts! I'm on a birth control pill and use Differin gel, but that's not all I do... everything I use on my skin is an acne product: soap, lotion, make up...etc. I've tried a multitude of acne products. I'm somewhat statisfied with the Differin gel because it gets rid of blemishes fast. The main problem is that my pimples have changed in a way that they are hard and painful and sometimes don't even erupt into whiteheads. God, they HURT! Should I go talk to my doc again? And maybe see a dermatologist? Would changing my diet help any?Painful acne! OUCH!Painful acne! OUCH!Message #1: Painful acne! OUCH! Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 20, 2009.Hi there, I sympathize with you. I also had acne from about 14 years old and it was terrible in my teens and I don't think I got it totally under control until my 40s. Since you have had acne for a long time and pres cription meds aren't working well for you, you may want to consider Accutane (generic name - Isotretinoin) . I have a relative who is taking this as she's also struggled with acne since about age 11 and she's also the same age as you. My family also has that genetic component to acne as my uncle had bad skin, I did, and so does my niece. The good skin fairy passed over my home for sure! I would consider seeing a dermatologist for help. Acne that is not getting better, is painful and/or cystic can also leave scarring which is difficult to fix afterwards. Please read more about Accutane including all potential side effects. You can read more about it in the Acne Health Center Good luck! - AnnieView all discussions at Skin Care: Share Your TipsUse the unsubscribe form to cancel your email sub_script_ion.

Posted by: Annie_WebMD_Staff Date: Aug 21, 2009.Hi t here, Please realize that it's not possible for anyone to be diagnosed over the internet. What you may want to do is use the Symptom Checker tool and also use the WebMD search engine with Boils to see if those articles are helpful to you. Boils are caused by the staph bacteria. Also consider chafing if your inner thighs rub together. With hot weather it may be harder to kee p your skin dry if you are wearing jeans and sweating a lot so try bathing with tepid water and use a cornstarch powder to absorb any extra moisture. Do seek help from a doctor if necessary. - AnnieInner Thigh Lumps - Ouch!Message #2: Inner Thigh Lumps - Ouch! Posted by: Sparky23456 Date: Aug 21, 2009.Dear sav123: It sounds like it may be a 'simple' case of folliculitis, which is a clogged hair follicle. I would suggest that when you squeeze it to relieve the pain and pressure, you might apply a triple antibiotic ointment to guard against infection (you can also get the 'antibiotic plus' which contains a topical pain reliever). Try Googling 'folliculitis' and compare your symptoms. You might find a site with photos to compare, as well. Hope this helps. May God bless.itchy skinitchy skinMessage #12: itchy skin Posted by: Confi_dant Date: Aug 21, 2009.Dear Itchy Skin, I've had the same problem. I was treated for allergies, for dermatitis, for sunburn rash, for poison ivy and summac, I also received cortisone shots, moisturizing creams for dry aged skin, I changed my diet to a more digestion-friendly one, I even received counseling for stress and anxiety. Nothing worked. I was desperate. Finally , a "Liver Function" blood panel, showed very high liver enzimes (ASP and ALT, and high bilirrubin) and very high cholesterol, which cause "PRURITUS" or itching all over. I have been treated for these conditions and the itching has subsided. Of course, additionally, at this age you need to maintain your skin moisturized, Use "Vaseline Deep Moisture Creamy Formula" or something like that. I hope this helps. Get well!itchy skinMessage #13: itchy skin Posted by: nluv2play Date: Aug 21, 2009.Hi Alex I have had a skin itch for over 6 years. I am 45. I went to every kind of Dr. I finally found a dermatologist that figured it out for me. I am allergic to Nickel! You would not believe all the things that contain it. Tomatoes, onions, beans the list seems endless. I would for sure see a Dr. as it mentioned in other replies this could be more serous condition. Using products that are "free" of dyes may not be the answer. Cetaphil and dove soap is what I use. Good luck and let us know how things work out for you. Good Luck!Skin Care: Share Your Tipsrash on chest and backInitial Message Posted by: stevenmh1986 Date: Aug 21, 2009.hello about 5 days ago i developed a rash on my chest its in between my breasts and a little to the right of being straight down my chest. its about an inch tall and 2 wide and is raised red and itchy and it burns sometimes i have one similar on my back roughly in the same spot as on the chest . im experiencing muscle soreness almost like a bruised feeling near the areas. on my chest my right breast area the one it is close to is really tender feeling and on my back below my right shoulderblade its sore. if i look really close it looks liek there might be some tiny blackhead type things in it some little black dots they are pretty random. i have sorta bump y skin as it is and am kinda hairy in the area of the spot on my chest so its hard to tell how many of the bumps are caused from the rash . but any ideas would greatly be appreciated . the chest one was notcied about a day before the back one thanks stevenView all discussions at Beauty & Body ImageUse the unsubscribe form to cancel your email sub_script_ion.
